A new exciting activity is now offered at Apulit Island. Guests can now catch the sun's majestic rising and setting while they paddle their way to the waters of Apulit!

Town Tour

Apulit Island takes its guests on a tour of Taytay Town with its rich history. Among the attractions to see include Sta. Monica church and Fuerta de Santa Isabel, which both date back to the Spanish era. The Town Tour is offered at Php 5,000.00 and includes a private boat, with a marine sports & guide.

Business Center Now Open

A business center is now open at Miniloc Island's clubhouse where guests can browse the web and check their emails. First 30 minutes is free of charge.

Filipino Themed Dinner at Miniloc

Miniloc Island shakes things up with its sumptuous Filipino themed dinner held every Friday. Feast on traditional Filipino dishes and enjoy delicasies by the beach.

Whale Shark Sightings

It's Miniloc's turn! The Whale Sharks which were sighted in Lagen several times earlier in the year have found their way to Miniloc Island. Bidet and Energy Saving Device Installation

bidet installation is now under way in each of the resort's 50 guest rooms. In addition, the guest rooms will soon be equipped with its own Energy Saving Device. The room upgrades are expected to be completed by the 2nd week of March.

CEB POSTS CLOSE TO 50% MARKET SHARE IN TOP 3 CITIES OUTSIDE MANILA IN 2011
Serves most passengers, offers most flights in Cebu, Davao, Iloilo

The Philippines' largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) continues to serve the most number of Filipinos with close to 50% market share in top 3 cities outside Manila in 2011.

CEB posted 48% domestic market share in Cebu, where it operates the most extensive network with than 500 weekly flights between Cebu and 19 domestic destinations. These routes allow passengers to take direct flights from Cebu to the Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Palawam and North Luzon, among others.

The airline also posted 47% market share in Davao, where it flies more than 200 weekly flights between Davao and 5 domestic destinations: Manila, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga and Iloilo.

Meanwhile, CEB posted 50% market sharin in Iloilo, where it flies more than 150 weekly flights between Iloilo and 4 domestic destinations: Manila, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao.

"Cebu Pacific will continue to bring foreign and local tourist and business travelers to these key cities on its trademark lowest fares. With our seat sale and mutiple flights options, we are happy to play a key role in the tourism and economic development of the whole of the Philippines," said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Cadince Iyog.

CEB captures 46% domestic market share last year, based on 2011 figurres from Civil Aeronautics Board. The airline flies to 33 domestic destinations from four hubs in Manila, Cebu, Cark, and Davao.

The airline is also the largest domestic cargo carrier, with close to 89.5 million kilos 2011 and 49% market share. This tops the combined domestic cargo market shares of both Philippine Airlines and Airphil Express.

"We look forward to serving more passengers and cargo forwarders this year, as we strengthen our network in the Philippines with more flights and routes, and brand-new Airbus aircraft deliveries," Iyog added.

Put 500,000 seats on sale with 500,000 CEB Facebool Fan Page milestone

The Philippine's largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) holds a 50% off system-wide seat sale from February 7 to 9, 2012 or until seats last, in honor of its 500,000 Facebook fans. This is for travel from March 1 to May 31, 2012.

CEB first posted on its official Facebook Fan Page last February 1, 2012 that a surprise awaits its passengers once its page acquires 500, 000 fans. It also held a 500,000th mark Facebook contest where 5 lucky winners each won 1 roundtrip GCs to any domestic destination.

"The 500,000 mark was hit last February 5, 2012, at 9:57am. We encourage everyone to like CEB's Facebook Fan page to be among the first to find out about CEB's trademark seat sale, and join CEB's Facebook contests, raffles and online products. We will keep on providing relevant information and fun prizes to our continously growing number of Facebook fans," said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

CEB also has a Twitter account, which has almost 350,000 followers, and a You Tube channel with close to 820,000 video views. CEB's social networking sites are the most popular compared to other airlines in the Philippines.

For summer travel, passengers can book seats at 50% off to any of CEB's international destinations, namely: Bangkok, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon (Seoul), Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Singapore, Shanghai, Siem Reap (Cambodia), Taipei or Xiamen.

The airline's 33 domestic destinations are also up for grabs at 50% off. They are: Bacolod, Boracay (Caticlan), Busuanga (Coron), Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Catarman, Cauayan (Isabela), Cebu, Clark, Cotabato, Davao, Dipolog, Duamguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legaspi, Laoag, Naga, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, San Jose (Mindoro), Siargao, Surigao Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Tawi-Tawi, Tuguegarao, Virac, and Zamboanga.

Iyog highlighted the airline's new flights, especially with this seat sale. "We are putting 500,000 seat on sale. Guests may check CEB's newest routes to be launched from February to April: Manila-Hanoi, Manila-Xiamen, Manila-Siem Reap, Cebu-Kalibo, and Kalibo-Hong Kong flights."

MINILOC ISLAND
Upgraded Resort Rating

The Philippine Department of Tourism has recently released Miniloc Island Resort's accreditation for 2012, upgrading the resort's rating from Class "A" to Class "AA". Similarly, accreditation for Miniloc's sister resorts were released - Apulit Island is classified "AA" and Lagen Island enjoys an "AAA" rating.

Private Dinner in a Lagoon

Miniloc Island's location provides endless possiblities for unique dining experiences. Book a private dinner in a raft at the middle of a calm Lagoon and enjoy the serenading of cicadas (Cicadidae) - definitely nature at its best! Rate starts at Php 3,500.00++ per couple, exclusive of meals.

Diver's Night

Get a glimpse of the underwater world as our resort Dive Master talks about the marine life surrounding Miniloc Island. The Diver's Night not only creates awareness about the dive sited in Bacuit Bay but also teaches guests about the basics of scuba diving. This activity is offered weekly, and is done at the resort's Beach Bar.

Whale Shark Sightings

Guess who visited Lagen Island recently? Guests welcomed 2012 with delight as they witnessed Whale Sharks swimming at Lagen's front six day in a row. Whale Sharks (Rhincodon typus) are the largest fish in the world that grom from 9 to 14 meters long. They are gentle creatures that live in tropical, warm waters and feed on plankton and krill.

Did You Know?

Environmental Officer Marivic Doctor wow guests during her nature interpretation - an eco - activity offered daily at Apulit Island. Marivic gathers guests every 4:00pm for a walk around the resort and gives trivia about licing creatures relevant to the eco-system of Apulit Island and Taytay Bay.

Swimming Pool - coming soon

Apulit Island expects completion of its swimming pool by end of February this year. The swimming pool, which measures 25 meters in length and 8 meters wide, is located in close proximity to the resort's beachfront. construction is on-going daily from 6:30am to 5:30 pm
